Speed Trap: Sierra Highway Sucks

 

Fair Warning: Ponch & John's meal ticket. Everytime I drive this road, in my daily driver, I get a ticket. So much as 5 mph over the limit, Ponch & John tee-off. You should have no reason for driving this road. Sierra Hwy is the California Highway Patrol's rice bowl. Anytime Newhall Municiple is short on revenues, they'll start inking motorists on Sierra. Use Soledad, Bouquet, or State Hwy 14 (such as it is). If Hwy 14 is closed due to snow, then Sierra will also be closed. If this is the case, then detour via San Francisquito Cny; it will be the only way through. In any case, avoid Sierra Hwy like the plague...

 

Sierra Highway sucks. Why waste your two-seater driving Sierra, when you could otherwise drive Bouquet?
